R.S.H.E.
From September 2021, Parkhill Infants' School will be required by the Government to teach Relationships and Health Education.
Relationships Education is designed to help children to have positive and safe relationships with family, friends and online.
Health Education will help children to make good decisions about their health and wellbeing, and enable them to know how to seek support if any health issues arise for themselves or others.
If you would like more information about statutory relationships and health education, please click below to read the government guide "Understanding Relationships and Health Education in your child's primary school: a guide for parents".
At Parkhill Infants' School we have been delivering Relationships and Health Education within our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) curriculum via the Jigsaw scheme of work.
Redbridge Local Authority have commissioned a consultation with parents and the wider community regarding what is to be taught, which ends on 30 June 2021. We have written to you about this previously.
While the LBR consultation is taking place, we would like to know your thoughts on the proposed curriculum for the children at Parkhill Infants' School. We invite our parents and carers to take part in a survey (see the email sent to all concerned on 22 June 2021 - to end 30 June 2021) so that we can have your feedback regarding the government guidelines and the proposed curriculum. We will consider all comments and queries received and will publish responses in due course.
